My Very First Bad Experience With Asus Laptop
More or less 7 years ago I bought an Asus laptop for +- 1200€, 2 months before the end of the warranty, the screen hinge detached from the rest of the PC. I decided to contact Asus to have it repaired under warranty, but after numerous and long exchanges he refused to repair the computer for me, because it was my fault (obviously when a PC breaks it’s always the customer’s fault it’s is well known), the break in the clip was from the inside to the outside (if I had dropped it, the break would have been from the outside to the inside).
Or still needing my work tool, I decided to pay the €300 for repairs, only to end up receiving 3 weeks later a new shell which was not that of the original model (even though we repaired it at the brand) it’s normal to no longer have the same parts and to have a really poor finish. For me, Asus has the worst after-sales service in IT.
My Second Worst Experience With Asus Laptop
For my 2nd experience, I was reluctant to return to Asus (especially when my Sony PC lasted 5 years without any problem), but needing extreme mobility, at that time only the Asus Zenbook met the criteria. The PC arrived and the keyboard did not work, I told myself that I must be unlucky and asked to have it replaced (I should have sent it back if I had known…) 4 months after using the notebook, the power supply no longer works.
Asus recommends making a backup of our various data (I find this great, especially when the PC is equipped with star screws which I don’t have the equipment to open…). I contacted Asus, 1 and a half weeks later the PC went for repair and the vehicle fell, improper use of the PC the repair is not covered under warranty and I am asked for more than €350!
I may have tripped once or twice, but it still demonstrates the quality of their equipment (ask if they test their equipment under normal conditions)! I’ve tripped over my other Sony PC more than 40 times and it still works without any problems! In short, I had to wait 3 weeks for the payment to arrive (I guess in the Netherlands, the banking system is slower). 1 week later I received the PC with the data on the hard drive completely erased (logically we replaced the motherboard and format the customer’s hard drive to be safe in the process). So I lost 1 month and the contents of the hard drive.
In short, for my part Asus I gave them 2 chances, but having to go through the “pay more than €300” box and think I was an idiot I had my fill. I’m going to spread the word to those around me to say all the good things I think about this magnificent brand and will stay with Sony for a long time to come. Afterward, you do what you want, but don’t come and complain when you are in contact with Asus after-sales service…
