The AMD Ryzen 5 3400G operates at a base frequency of 3.7 GHz; in Boost mode it can reach 4.2 GHz, which is a good 300 MHz higher than its predecessor. In the case of the younger Ryzen 3 3200G, clock frequencies increased to 3.6 and 4.0 GHz, respectively. Both APUs rely on four Zen+ cores, but only the older model has SMT support, allowing it to process eight threads simultaneously. We also note the dual-channel DDR4-2933 interface and the L3 cache trimmed to 4 MB.

Graphical Performance
